In the middle of a gridlocked game with the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs CB Marcus Peters walked off the field after a penalty on the Chiefs on a failed two point conversion by the Jets.
Peters didn’t like the call and decided to pick up the yellow flag and throw it into the crowd. This led to a unsportsmanlike conduct call. Coach Andy Reid watched as Peters was escorted off he field. To the plain viewer, it looked like he had been ejected from the game.
The incident happened with 2:15 left in the game and the score 38-31 Jets. Peters would return before the Chiefs would end up back on defense. The Chiefs wouldn’t score again leading to the loss today.
