ALCS Game 7. There is only one bigger moment in all of baseball. The very thing that the New York Yankees and Houston Astros will be fighting for tonight. The World Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers have already clinched their way into the fall classic after beating last years champions the Chicago Cubs in five games.
This game will see Houston’s Charlie Morton face off against C.C. Sabathia of the Yankees. On the season the home pitcher Morton is 14-7 with a 3.62 era and Sabathia is 14-5 with a 3.69 era. The pitching matchup should be rather intense in the game that will birth a World Series team.
Houston’s key to the game will be pitching. They need to keep the ball in the park all night and avoid giving up Home Runs. Every pitcher on the roster except game 6 starter Justin Verlander will be ready and available in the bullpen just in case. When the season is on the line, the game plan changes dramatically.
The Yankees need to do the exact opposite of Houston. Let the offense swing for the fences. Let Sanchez and Judge go off and swing away. It’s all about base runners and bringing base runners home. Use the speed and be aggressive on the base paths if you can’t take the balls out of the park.
Let me know in the comments guys, who do you think is going to the World Series?
