All Rise! Aaron Judge blasted homers 49 and 50 of the season, originally tying Mark McGwire’s rookie record then breaking it right after. The Judge has been wrecking it this season, winning the home run derby earlier in the season, helping the Yanks clinch a playoff spot and now rewriting the history books as a rookie. Judge joins Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Alex Rodriguez as the only players in Yankee history to crack 50 in a season.

As the postseason comes nearer, I can only hope Judge’s stellar performance can lead the Yanks to another world series. Judge did slump from July-August batting only .182 and 7 homers, but it’s clear he is passed that and ready for some post season play where his real trial will begin.
