After undergoing offseason hip surgery, Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Kesler is out indefinitely. Ducks General Manager Bob Murray has stated that “as of right now, there is no timeline whatsoever” regarding Kesler’s return.

This is a big blow for the Anaheim Ducks, as last season Ryan Kesler was a Selke Trophy finalist. He also recorded 58 points (22 goals, 36 assists) and won a league-high 1,029 faceoffs in 2016/17.

The Ducks are now depending on players such as Rickard Rackell, Jakob Silfverberg, and Patrick Eaves to step up and fill the void until Kesler can return to the lineup.
